Kurt Lee Weinmann
Mr. Weinmann joined Garbarini & Scher, P.C. in 1992, and became a partner in 1996. He has been the firm’s managing partner since 2003.
Mr. Weinmann is a senior trial attorney and has tried numerous high exposure claims in Medical Malpractice, Lead Poisoning, Civil Rights, Labor Law, and General Liability. Mr. Weinmann participates in the firm’s Bankruptcy Practice in which Garbarini & Scher, P.C. is retained as Special Medical Malpractice Counsel to resolve claims filed against bankrupt hospitals. Mr. Weinmann also provides risk management consultation to several area hospitals.
Mr. Weinmann earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science with High Honors from Rutgers College. He graduated from Cornell Law School (magna cum laude) with entry into the Order of the Coif. Mr. Weinmann was also a member of the Cornell Law Review with a published Note in 69 Cornell Law Review 342 (1984).
Prior to joining Garbarini & Scher, P.C., Mr. Weinmann worked for six years in the New York County District Attorney’s Office Trial Division handling felony prosecutions and working in the Child Abuse and Homicide Units.
Mr. Weinmann has appeared as a commentator on Court TV and taught a Master’s level course in Health and Law at the New York Medical College from 2001 to 2014.
